We now offer full service lactation support program.   IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) of Lactation Services of Loudoun schedules appointments at Leesburg Pharmacy.  Maureen specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding.  In addition, Maureen is a trained birth doula from DONA International, offering women physical, emotional and educational support to help ensure a safe and stisfying birth experience. Maureen is here to help new mothers and their babies with difficulties that may arise with breastfeeding.  Her lactation consultations include: Prenatal Breast Assessments Breast Reduction Breast Augmentation Nipple and Breast Pain Milk Supply Returning to Work Pumping and Storing Low Birth Weight Jaundice Solids and Breastfeeding Multiple Babies Toddler/Tandem Nursing Weaning                Consultation Services First Visit (1 1/2 to 2 hours): Visit includes comprehensive suck assessment, infant weight check, mother and baby medical history, and feeding history. Lactation Consultant will also observe and assist mother and baby during feeding.  A care plan will be developed. Follow up visit, scheduled if needed.  Report faxed to pediatrician and ob/midwife.  Rental products/pumps discussed if needed. Office Visit:  $  85 Home Visit:  $125 Second Visit (1 hour): Weight taken and assessment of care plan is discussed.  Mother and baby are observed and questions answered.  Pricing based on a $95 per hour charge. Office Visit:  $85 Home Visit:  $85 24-Hour Emergency Service: Home Service:  $190/hour Telephone Service:  $47.50 (15 minute minimum, additonal $3.16/min thereafter) FOR BIRTH DOULA SERVICES - CALL FOR INFO Vaginal Birth:  $275 Mom and baby are seen for the first visit in the privacy of their own home the day after discharge (usually day 3).  Mother and baby will be seen again on day 5 or 6 in the office.  On day 10 to 14, around the time of the fist growth spurt, mom will be seen again in the office.  Pumping and storing breast milk will be discussed along with introducing the bottle.   Cesarean Birth:  $325 Mom and baby are seen for the first visit in the privacy of their own home the day after discharge (usually day 5 and again on day 7). Mother and baby will be seen on day 14 in the office.  Pumping and storing breast milk will be discussed along with introducing the bottle.  Additional $2 BREASTFEEDING DEVICES & EQUIPOMENT   Breastfeeding a baby gives the child so many health advantages, and it forms a strong bond between mother and child.
